Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how picmovi ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our AI Photo to Video and Image to Video platform at picmovi.com.

1. Information We Collect

When you use picmovi, we may collect the following information:

  • Input images, audio, and text prompts you provide for generation (processed to deliver results)
  • Generated media and processing history (stored according to your plan and retention rules)
  • User preferences and settings (may be stored locally in your browser and/or on our servers)
  • Basic usage statistics (e.g., number of generations, model usage) in aggregated or anonymized form
  • Technical information such as browser type, device type, and IP address for security and service optimization
  • Account information for registered users (email, usage credits, subscription status)
  • Photos you choose to upload may include people or faces. We do not collect Face ID or biometric face templates. See Face Data / Photos of People below.

2. How We Use Information

The information we collect is used for:

  • Providing AI video and image generation services using models such as Seedance, Veo, Kling, Wan, and Hailuo
  • Improving generation quality, reliability, and product experience
  • Optimizing the service for different devices and browsers
  • Understanding usage patterns to enhance user experience
  • Service improvement using aggregated or anonymized data where appropriate
  • Managing user accounts, credits, and subscription services
  • Screening prompts and uploaded images on our servers for NSFW and other prohibited content so we can refuse unsafe Image to Video and other generative requests

3. Data Storage and Processing

Our service processes your data as follows:

  • Inputs are processed to generate videos or images you request
  • Generated media may be stored temporarily or per plan limits for download and preview
  • User preferences may be stored locally and/or in your account
  • We use secure cloud infrastructure for processing and storage
  • Data may be retained for service improvement in anonymized or aggregated form
  • Account data is stored securely with industry-standard protections

Face Data / Photos of People

picmovi does not collect Face ID, facial geometry, facial templates, or other biometric face data. We do not use face data to identify, authenticate, or profile people.

If you upload a photo or video that happens to include a person's face, that image is treated as user-submitted media for the generation you requested:

  • What we collect: only the images and text prompts you submit for a generation. We do not scan your photo library for faces and we do not create a face database or biometric template.
  • Use: solely to generate the video or image you asked for. We do not use photos of faces for advertising, analytics, or identity recognition.
  • Sharing: the submitted image and prompt are sent to the third-party AI model provider that powers the model you select (listed under Third-Party Services) so that provider can return the result. Providers may include ByteDance (Seedance, Seedream), Google (Veo, Nano Banana), Kuaishou (Kling), Alibaba Cloud (Wan, Qwen, Z-Image), MiniMax (Hailuo), OpenAI (GPT Image), and Lightricks (LTX-2). The iOS app asks for your permission before this sharing. We do not sell face data or personal data to advertisers.
  • Storage: inputs and outputs are stored on our cloud infrastructure to fulfill the request, let you preview/download, and operate product history. Generated media on paid plans is retained for up to 7 days unless you delete it sooner.
  • Retention and deletion: you can delete individual results in Products. Deleting your account in the iOS app (Account menu → Delete Account) permanently deletes your account identifiers, credits, and associated generated videos and images we store.

4. Chrome Extension (Image to Video AI — picmovi)

If you install our official Chrome extension, the following applies in addition to this policy:

  • Single purpose: The extension only sends user-selected text or a user right-clicked image to picmovi.com to start AI video generation.
  • Selected text: Passed to picmovi.com/video as a URL parameter and then removed from the address bar after the page loads. We do not use it for other purposes.
  • Images: When you choose "Send image to picmovi," the extension downloads the image you clicked and stores it briefly in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It is transferred to picmovi.com to pre-fill the upload field and then deleted from extension storage.
  • No browsing history: The extension does not read, collect, or transmit your browsing history, page content, or data from pages you do not explicitly interact with via the context menu.
  • No third-party sharing: Extension data is not sold or shared with advertisers. Image and text data go only to picmovi.com under the same terms as using the website directly.
  • Permissions: contextMenus (right-click actions), storage (temporary image handoff), and host access to fetch the image URL you selected and to run a prefill script on picmovi.com.

5. Google Docs add-on (Photo to Video — picmovi)

If you install our official Google Workspace add-on for Google Docs, the following applies in addition to this policy:

  • Single purpose: The add-on reads the Google Doc you currently have open so you can send a photo to picmovi.com as Photo to Video (image to video). Optional document text is sent as the motion prompt.
  • Document access: We request access only to documents the add-on is installed in (documents.currentonly). We do not request access to the rest of your Google Drive, Gmail, or Calendar.
  • When data is sent: Photos and text stay in Google Docs until you click Send photo. The still is posted to picmovi.com and stored for about 15 minutes under a random id so the studio can pre-fill Image to Video, then deleted (or it expires).
  • Images: Send photo uses the image you selected, or the first inline image in the Doc. Other images are not uploaded unless you select them and send again.
  • No extra analytics: The Apps Script project does not include third-party ads or analytics SDKs.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services. They are used only to operate picmovi and are required to provide equal or equivalent protection of personal data consistent with this policy:

  • Cloud hosting and media processing providers
  • Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics / equivalent) for usage statistics
  • Payment processors (including Apple In-App Purchase) for premium features and credit purchases
  • Third-party AI providers that process prompts and any images you attach for a generation, depending on the model you select: ByteDance (Seedance, Seedream); Google (Veo, Nano Banana); Kuaishou (Kling); Alibaba Cloud (Wan, Qwen, Z-Image); MiniMax (Hailuo); OpenAI (GPT Image); Lightricks (LTX-2)

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with regular security reviews
  • Access controls and authentication mechanisms
  • Regular security updates and vulnerability assessments

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access any personal information we hold about you
  • Delete your account in the iOS app (Account menu → Delete Account), which deletes your account data and associated generated content we store
  • Delete individual generated videos and images from Products
  • Opt out of non-essential analytics tracking
  • Export or download your generated media where available
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Manage your account settings and subscription preferences

9. Children's Privacy

picmovi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. Sexual or exploitative content involving minors is prohibited; report it as described in the AIGC Use Policy.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to apply appropriate safeguards consistent with this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
